Caitlin is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree at QUT. She additionally holds a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science that sees her work as a Respiratory Scientist – a role that is both challenging and enjoyable. A current children’s soccer coach and having experience in at-risk youth services, Caitlin has had the opportunity to work in a range of rewarding positions, where every smile she receives is a reward in itself. With a significant passion for sport and performance, Caitlin has continued to compete in soccer and is currently in her 13th year of playing. Her desire is to one day be equipped to provide performance psychology to those searching for a mental edge in overcoming the demands that competitive athletic performance brings. As part of her Honours degree, Caitlin is working with Associate Professor Gene Moyle, Head of Discipline – Dance at QUT Creative Industries Faculty researching the Mindfulness-Mediation Program undertaken by all QUT Dance students. This experience has been valuable in exposing her to the breadth of applications of performance psychology, and the benefit it can provide to those within performing arts specifically.
