Sarah graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc (Hons) in Exercise and Sport Sciences in 2009 and gained an MSc in Dance Science from Trinity Laban in 2010. She has a keen interest in research and is currently also undertaking PhD study in Dance Science at Trinity Laban. Her research focuses on energy demand during dance activity and is attempting to develop understanding of concepts such as oxygen deficit, lactate threshold, and efficiency within non-steady state activities.
Sarah is currently the Governance Secretary and a member of the Promotion Committee for the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) and has previously served as Chair of the Student Committee.
Sarah has always been passionate about dance and has completed major examinations in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern. During her time at the University of Exeter, Sarah served as the President of the University’s Dance Society, teaching beginners and advanced tap dance classes and choreographing for competitions and shows.
